I had this… idea … a few weeks ago, when I recorded an APC blowing up. Making a MAG video with Inception trailer music. (two of my favorite things happened in 2010).

Since MAG 2.0 (greatest hit edition) is coming out soon, I think this is also a well-timed video 😀

*Please, note that I am not a professional in editing at all. I hope some of you talented guys can make something much better with this… idea.

**Zipper should give me a cookie or something 😉 I don’t think I devoted this much to any other game in my life. (Please, don’t sue me, zipper, sony … and Mr. Nolan)

***I had this glitched soldier floating in the air, but could not find the video……that would’ve been perfect….darn…

I am a Valor now

Out of blue, I vetted yeseterday. I got bored with SVER for last few days. I think I spent about 300-400 hours in the SVER.

Boy, was I in for some treat. Less teamwork, more noobs, more quitters, more medkits (what? Actually, people carry medkit more than I thought and heard)

The first few games were fun, then it was getting worse. As a dom player, my future is not bright 😛

How to Capture Videos from PS3 (or XBox360)

I get this question a lot so I am writing some info here to help you guys.

First you need a capture device. I have tried four different HD capture devices so far, two USB based ones and two PCI-e based ones. They have pros and cons of course, and I like the Hauppauge one best so far.

Connect PS3 through the component cable (no HDMI due to HDCP lock), then connect to the TV using the passthrough cables (if there is no passthrough, you have to split signal, which degrades the picture quality.)

To capture the headset chatting, set the PS3 to use the ‘system default’ audio for the headset.

To capture your voice, you have to mix your voice into the capture input. One easy way is using you computer to be the mixer. Attach an extra mic for your voice to the PC. Connect PS3 audio output into the audio input of the PC. Connect audio output of the PC to the input of the capture device.

MAG Interdiction DLC is out

New DLC for MAG is out and I like it. 3 neutral maps. Each map has 3 control points and you hold those to win the battle. One mortar battery to destroy/defend. Maps are quite huge. The game starts with 8 APCs, which hold 8-men squad. Very death match oriented but very dynamic due to the respawn-point APCs.

Check out the video of one game I had the other day. Quite lousy game actually. I died many times and aiming was horrible. But somehow I became the MVP. No wonder we lost the game 😉

MAG Platinum Trophy

After 336 hours later, finally got the platinum trophy for MAG. Damn, the game was fun. The video shows the whole stat, ribbons, skill set, armory, etc.
